Your Traffic Analysis page shows you how many visits your site gets, what pages are the most popular ones, and much more.

Accessing Traffic Analysis

You can access your Traffic Analysis page by selecting Admin → Traffic.

Views and Visitors

When you visit your Traffic Analysis page, you’ll see a chart which represents your traffic for the selected time period (last 7 days, last month, last 3 months, last 6 months or last year, depending on which filter you’ve selected at the top of the page).

Each time period has its own available units - days / weeks / months. Week is simply a summary of 7 days (Sunday to Saturday calendar days), month is a summary of the month days.

The two main units of traffic measurement are page views and unique visitors.

A page view is counted when a visitor loads or reloads a page.

A visitor is counted when we see a user or browser for the first time in a given period (day, week, month).

The following are not reflected in your stats:

Search engine bots and spiders (including GoogleBot), hacking attempts, scans, or any non-human requests to your website.

Views by Country

You can see how many views you’ve received per country by day, week, month. If Bablab is not able to determine your visitors’ location, their views will not be listed in the countries list.

Referrers

The referrers section lists other blogs, web sites, and search engines that link to your site. A view is associated with a referrer if a visitor lands on a URL on your site after clicking a link on the referrer’s site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use Google Analytics?

Yes, to complement our built-in traffic analysis service and to give you even more information about your traffic, you can use Google Analytics as part of your Bablab plan. See how here: Connecting Google Analytics to your bablab website.

Is this data up-to-date and real time?

The traffic data is calculated each time the page is loaded, with (almost) no delay or buffer, so if you reload the page it reflects the traffic you had until the reload click. It does not, however, update itself automatically.

What data does the Traffic Analysis Page collect about my site’s visitors?

The Traffic Analysis service tracks and retains the following information about your site’s visitors per day:

  • Visitors Number

  • Page views (page, number of views)

  • Referring URLs  (URL, number of visitors)

  • Country (Country, number of visitors)

As part of collating the above information, the Traffic Analysis service parses the server log and uses data like IP address, user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, timestamp of event, and country code. However, none of this information is available to site owners. For example, a site owner can see that a specific page has 620 views, but he/she cannot see which ip’s viewed that post. No personal information is revealed publicly at any stage of the Traffic Analysis service.
